Tagup Joins Special Operations Forces Rapid Acquisition Consortium for Emerging Requirements (SOF RACER)

Tagup has joined the Special Operations Forces Rapid Acquisition Consortium for Emerging Requirements (SOF RACER). Participation creates another path to pursue engagements and partnerships that bring logistics decision advantage to special operations forces.

What is SOF RACER?

U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) launched SOF RACER with support from GovSignals and BMNT to accelerate the fielding of capabilities tailored to special operations. The consortium brings industry and academia together to address technology requirements and move capabilities from development into operational use. Members can respond to solicitations, compete for prototype projects through Other Transaction agreements, and explore teaming opportunities.

The consortium organizes its technology priorities into twelve Areas of Interest. One of those priorities, Advanced Engineering, Mobility & Logistics, emphasizes how new capabilities are developed, fielded, and sustained, particularly in contested environments.

Logistics decision advantage for special operations

Special operations forces often operate in small, dispersed teams in remote or austere locations, with limited sustainment capacity on site. Their logisticians must support specialized equipment and mission-specific requirements while keeping the deployed footprint small. Distance, restricted access, and the need to avoid detection can constrain resupply, making it essential to plan for periods without replenishment. Planners must balance what teams carry, what can be prepositioned, and how long those resources will last against the need to preserve mobility and limit exposure.

Our AI-powered Manifest platform helps commanders and logisticians evaluate these sustainment tradeoffs before committing resources. Manifest combines operational data with human expertise to model the logistics domain, then applies our proprietary Generative Reinforcement Learning™ to simulate outcomes and recommend courses of action across supply, maintenance, and mobilization. Those recommendations account for mission objectives, resource constraints, and uncertainty.

With Manifest, planners can compare the implications of different equipment selections, inventory positions, and maintenance plans for readiness, cost, time, and risk. They can test how plans perform when demand changes, resupply is delayed, or transport becomes unavailable, then adapt as conditions evolve. This helps planners anticipate sustainment needs and understand the consequences of their choices before those decisions affect the mission.

Through SOF RACER, we’re committed to getting logistics decision advantage into the hands of our special operations forces faster. To learn more about our AI-powered logistics solutions, please request a demo or email defense@tagup.ai.
